Our top 10 most requested mentors on twenty

Jon Luke Tittmann

At twenty, we have more than 150 mentors who have walked different paths and are here to offer their stories, advice, and wisdom about navigating your 20s. Here are our top 10 most requested mentors by our members.

There’s no playbook for success when it comes to being in your 20s. That’s because our 20s are often about asking questions and trying new things rather than finding definite answers. What will your path look like?

Our mentors know this all too well. They have navigated the highs and lows of being in their 20s, from breakups and layoffs to startup acquisitions, landing a dream job, and even finding that special someone they want to spend the rest of their life with.

At twenty, we have more than 150 mentors who have walked different paths and are here to offer their stories, advice, and wisdom about navigating your 20s. Below are our top 10 most requested mentors and a little about each of them.

Becky Lee

Becky is a Senior Director at IDEO where she regularly mentors and guides more junior designers and design teams on client work and more informally through employee resource groups. Becky approaches mentorship as “a safe place to land,” creating space for you to vent, ask silly questions, and seek advice. At twenty, members from all over the world come to her for advice on finding a job, balancing creativity and business (at work and at home), and finding your authentic voice—on LinkedIn, as a leader, and in cover letters and job apps.  She also enjoys speaking to members about managing long-distance relationships, her experience with being multi-racial, and building community in a new place.

Whitney Chu

Whitney is a co-founder of Galvanizer, an incubator that helps female founders start companies. She also has worked as a Product Manager at Uber and Atomic, and she earned her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Whitney’s membership style is straightforward, positive, encouraging, and kind. She likes to help twenty members prepare for startup pitches, interviews, applying to business school, and breaking into the tech industry. She also can offer wisdom on more personal topics, such as her experience as a woman in male-dominated industries, identifying and living by your values, and discovering your purpose.

Eric Iwashita

Eric is a Product Lead at OnFrontiers and a part-time Adventure Travel Guide at Mountain State Overland LLC. Eric describes himself as a supportive, inspiring, and motivating mentor, here to help you organize your thoughts, prioritize your wants and needs, and help you focus on activities that will help you move in the direction that you want to go. He loves to talk about finding work-life balance, the cultural impacts of growing up Asian-American, public speaking, relationships, and of course, the great outdoors. Members also come to him for his experience with personal finance, ethical design, and finding the right career path.

Courtnay (Buaas) Gorham

Courtnay is a Compensation Consultant at Microsoft and a recent MBA graduate from Harvard Business School. Prior to business school, she worked at McKinsey & Company where she explored many different functions and industries in search of her passion. She is also an Angel Investor at VITALIZE Venture Capital, investing at the intersection of edtech and the future of work. She holds a master's in International Policy from Stanford University and was previously a management consultant. Angela offers twenty members advice on various topics, including consulting, building your resume and cover letter, startups, venture capital, grad school, and non-profits. She also loves discussing finding work-life balance, immigrant experiences, and friendships.

Julia Olson

Julia is an Associate General Manager at Teamworks and a former innovation lead at Bain & Company. Prior to Bain, Julia received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University.
